Paddle Buyer Terms · Paddle Refund Policy
1) Global refund policy
- Unless required by applicable law, Transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
- Paddle may issue refunds where you exercise an applicable statutory withdrawal/refund right, or on a discretionary basis.
- Refunds are not issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.
- If you receive a refund, access to the relevant Product will cease.
- Refund requests must be made within the applicable statutory or discretionary period.
2) Country-specific withdrawal / refund rights (Consumers)
Where local consumer protection laws grant unconditional “withdrawal” rights, those rights apply. The applicable time period depends on your country.
EU / EEA / Switzerland / United Kingdom
- Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from some digital content and service contracts and receive a full refund.
- The right applies to one-off purchases and to the first payment under a Subscription contract (not subsequent Subscription payments, except where stated in Paddle’s policy).
- If a Subscription includes a free trial, once the free trial ends you have a new 14-day period to exercise your right to withdraw.
- If you completed a Transaction in the UK and have an annual Subscription, you have a new 14-day period starting the day the Subscription auto-renews for another year.
- The right to withdraw does not apply to digital content Products that have started to be downloaded, streamed, or otherwise used, where you gave express consent to waive your withdrawal rights.
Turkey / Israel
- Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from some digital content and service contracts and receive a full refund.
South Korea / Brazil / China / Canada
- Consumers have a 7-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or services after delivery and receive a full refund.
Singapore
- Consumers have a 5-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or services after delivery or first access and receive a full refund.
3) How to request a refund
To request a refund or exercise a statutory withdrawal right, contact Paddle using one of the following methods:
- Use the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in your Transaction confirmation email.
- Submit a request via the support link provided in your receipt or within your account’s billing page.
- Visit paddle.net and select the “Request refund” option.
If eligible, refunds will be processed using the same payment method where possible and within 14 days of approval of the request. If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible, contact Paddle via paddle.net.
4) Technical issues / product defects
If you experience persistent technical issues or a material defect that prevents you from accessing the features or benefits as described, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. If it cannot be resolved, contact Paddle and provide details of the issue and any response received.
5) Cancellation vs refund
You can cancel a subscription at any time to prevent future billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Cancellation is different from a refund request.
